Maddie’s® Pet Rescue Project in San Antonio, TX is a coalition of humane organizations in Bexar County, working to end the euthanasia of healthy and treatable dogs and cats in Bexar County shelters. In 2008, we received a Maddie's® Fund Starter Grant and our Coalition is defining annual goals to increase adoptions, in an effort to reduce shelter euthanasia of healthy and treatable animals. Our mission for the Maddie’s® starter grant plans to gather Bexar County animal sheltering statistics for 2007, 2008 and 2009.

The Bexar County Maddie’s® Coalition consists of 6 Animal Control agencies – Animal Control Services (ACS), Kirby Animal Control, Leon Valley Animal Control, Schertz Animal Control, Universal City Animal Control, Live Oak Animal Control and 5 Adoption Guarantee agencies – Humane Society SPCA of Bexar County, Converse Animal Shelter, Animal Defense League (ADL), SNIPSA, Homes for Pets.  Please visit www.maddies.org for information on the Maddie’s® Pet Rescue Project.
